Brockville city council approved several initiatives during its Tuesday, April 28 meeting, highlighting growth and community support.
Council proclaimed May as Community Living Month and Friday, May 1 as Doctor’s Day, with the Ontario Medical Association recognized through a blue light display at the Brockville Arts Centre.
A new tourism bicycle rental program will run from May to September, while $25,000 was approved to support recruitment at Brockville General Hospital.
Council also reported a record $119.5 million in construction value for 2025 and continued strong development interest.
Other decisions included appointing a councillor to the HART Hub Committee, approving a one-way traffic change on Bartholomew Street, and announcing expanded hours at the Brockville Public Library starting in June.
