The department also handled 19 fires, 52 medical calls, 17 rescues, and 22 other incidents
The Brockville Fire Department had a busy September, responding to 155 emergencies, their highest monthly total this year.
Fire Prevention Officer Matt Tyo said 45 of those calls had to do with smoke alarms.
Tyo explained when alarms should be changed.
