Find out if you're a good fit
Young women interested in firefighting can visit Brockville Fire Station #2 on April 7 to learn more about the 2nd Annual Belles & Ladders camp.
The free summer camp, running July 2-4, aims to inspire and empower girls aged 15-18 to consider a career in fire services. Campers will learn hands-on skills, including auto extrication, with support from Covill Auto Wreckers and other community sponsors.
The April 7 open house, held after school, gives potential campers a chance to tour the station and ask questions before registration opens.
Brockville Fire Department encourages young women to explore firefighting as a career and connect with female firefighters already in the field.
Those interested in attending can visit Station #2 on Laurier Avenue during the open house. More information will be available at the event.v
