Brockville firefighters continue to encourage residents to maintain smoke alarms and follow fire safety practices at home and at work
The Brockville Fire Department says crews responded to 92 emergency calls across the city in April, highlighting the steady demand for emergency services in the community.
Department statistics show alarms were the largest category, with 37 calls during the month. Medical emergencies followed with 29 responses, while firefighters also handled 18 other incidents, seven fires and one rescue call.
The department shared the figures in a public update posted this week. Officials said crews remained available around the clock to respond whenever residents needed help.
The monthly numbers reflect the wide range of situations handled by firefighters, from emergency medical assistance to fire suppression and alarm investigations. The department did not release details about specific incidents or injuries connected to the calls.
