A Canadian women’s advocate says people attending Friday’s celebration of life in Brockville should arrive with compassion as the community mourns three victims of femicide.
Pamela Cross, a Canadian feminist lawyer says public gatherings can help people cope, but she noted the grief is still very fresh.
Cross also said she hopes people attend for the right reasons.
Cross said those who attend should remember the focus is on love, support and the people closest to the family.
Cross said Brockville will need patience and support as it mourns.
