Brockville General Hospital is warning patients about high volumes in its Emergency Department, with congestion continuing over the past several weeks.
President and CEO Julie Caffin says the hospital is operating at very high occupancy as staff work to manage demand.
Caffin says the hospital has been opening additional spaces to help with patient flow.
That includes a new 10-bed surgery unit that opened last week, as well as placing patients in day surgery and other areas.
Caffin and hospital staff are asking patients to cooperate and be patient as they work to deal with the high volumes.
