City officials say the program helps support community improvements that benefit residents
The City of Brockville is inviting community groups to apply for funding through the 2026 Legacy Fund.
The program supports recreational and cultural capital projects in Brockville. About $9,000 is available this year and will be shared among qualifying projects.
Funding decisions will be made by a four-person allocation committee. The committee includes two members of city council and the two most recent Citizens of the Year.
Applications must be submitted online by 4 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026.
The Legacy Fund was created in 2009 when the city invested $200,000 into a fund managed by the Brockville Community Foundation. Each year, earnings from the investment are distributed to local organizations after a two per cent management fee.
