Brockville is mourning the loss of Claude Sigman, a longtime member of Brockville Legion Branch 96 and a well-known community volunteer.
Sigman was a devoted member of the Legion for 21 years and became a familiar face to members and visitors alike. He was often seen playing darts, enjoying live music, or offering help wherever it was needed. Legion members say his good humour and welcoming presence helped make the branch feel like home.
Beyond the Legion, Sigman gave generously of his time throughout the Brockville community. He was known for showing up when help was needed and for treating everyone with kindness and respect. Friends say his enthusiasm for volunteering inspired others to get involved.
