Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
On behalf of the Brockville Police Service, Chief Mark Noonan says they're proud to honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
With the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police and himself personally, Noonan says the relationship is strong with Indigenous officers across the country.
Noonan says the Indigenous Association of Chiefs of Police will hold a big conference once a year.
Noonan says the Brockville Police Service will be involved with today's free event hosted by Brockville Tourism at Hardy Park, and encourages the public to attend.
There will be educational booths, a vendor market, agency information booths, calls to action updated walk, a guest presenter and more from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
