The City of Brockville is extending its support to residents affected by a structural fire at Balmoral Place on March 19, while praising the coordinated response from emergency crews and community partners.
Officials say the Brockville Fire Department, Brockville Police Service, and Leeds Grenville Paramedic Service acted quickly to contain the fire, evacuate residents safely, and provide urgent care.
City staff also played a key role behind the scenes by arranging transportation to help residents leave the area safely.
Local organizations stepped up to support those displaced. Stingers offered a warm place to stay, One Love Jamaican Cuisine provided meals, and Victim Services of Leeds and Grenville helped secure temporary accommodations.
The City says the response highlights the strength of the community during difficult times.
