Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy the free waterfront display, with the city thanking the community for its patience and continued support
The City of Brockville has announced a date for its postponed Canada Day fireworks display, with the show now set for Sunday, August 2.
Natalie Finucan, Communications Coordinator with the City of Brockville, explained the thought process behind the original cancellation.
Finucan said Brockville Tourism coordinated with the fireworks contractor, while the city's parks department helped provide staffing for the rescheduled event.
She also explained why August 2 was selected as the new date.
Finucan also addressed questions circulating in the community after Brockville Tourism received a federal Celebrate Canada Grant.
The fireworks will begin at 9:45 p.m. at Blockhouse Island.
Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy the free waterfront display, with the city thanking the community for its patience and continued support.
