This morning in downtown Brockville
The Brockville Rifles Veterans Association (Unassociated) (BRVA), a civilian volunteer-led group of former soldiers and supporters, will take part in Brockville’s Remembrance Day ceremony to honour those who served and sacrificed for Canada.
BRVA President Kevin Colwill, who has served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 30 years as of November 2nd, says it means so much to be a part of it.
Former Brockville Rifles members of all eras are invited to march with the main parade led by the BRVA, join at the cenotaph if they cannot march, or spectate. The Association promotes regimental pride, supports veterans and their families, and highlights the lifelong value of service in the Canadian Army Primary Reserve.
Colwill says he'll remember many on this day.
They're always looking for new members, he adds.
