Following last week's celebration of life at Brockville Wesleyan Church
The Anti-Violence Coalition of Leeds and Grenville held a community vigil at the Women’s Memorial on Blockhouse Island last night, where residents gathered to honour Wanda, Mackayla and Nikita Elliott, and to support efforts to end violence against women.
Leeds and Grenville Interval House Executive Director, Katie Sparks said this tragedy may open personal trauma for other survivors of intimate partner violence.
She also said intimate partner violence affects more than just the victims behind closed doors.
