Today from 5-8 p.m. at 779 Chelsea Street, Suite BU
Children’s Mental Health of Leeds and Grenville is hosting a free Safe Talk workshop today in Brockville to help people learn how to talk more openly about suicide in a safe, supportive way.
Counselling Therapist Teddy Dancy explained the main idea of the workshop.
Dancy says attendees will learn how to recognize warning signs and how to respond using a simple, four-step model designed for everyday situations.
She explains why the workshop is open to both teens and adults.
Dancy adds that the organization plans to host more sessions across the region in the near future.
Registration is free and can be completed online, and organizers hope the workshop reduces stigma and encourages more open conversations about suicide prevention.
