Festival organizer Rod Carley said a commemorative literary-themed jigsaw puzzle will also debut this year
The St. Lawrence Writers Festival will return to Brockville for its second year from Sept. 10 to 13, bringing dozens of Canadian authors, poets and literary personalities to the city.
The festival will be based primarily at Arts Hub Brockville and will feature bestselling writers including Waubgeshig Rice, Terry Fallis, Wayne Johnston, Donna Morrissey, Kelley Armstrong and Giles Blunt.
Organizers say the four-day event will include author talks, panel discussions, workshops and book signings. Highlights include a publishing workshop led by Patricia Westerhof, a historical fiction panel, a romantasy discussion and the return of the popular 1000 Islands “Love Boat” literary cruise.
Festival-goers can also attend the Cat’s Meow brunch and the launch of The Great Gatsby, a humorous adaptation of the classic novel featuring Hilton the rescue tabby.
