The department says crews remain committed to responding quickly and professionally to every call
Brockville Fire Department crews responded to 80 emergency calls in January, reflecting a steady demand for emergency services in the community.
Department figures show medical calls accounted for 24 responses during the month. Firefighters also attended 33 alarm calls, eight rescue incidents and four fire-related calls.
An additional 11 calls were categorized as “other.” The department says these typically include mutual or automatic aid responses to assist neighbouring fire departments, helping police or other partner agencies, public service calls, and incidents where crews were cancelled while en route.
Fire officials note the variety of calls highlights the broad role firefighters play beyond fire suppression, often serving as first responders in a wide range of emergencies.
The department says crews remain committed to responding quickly and professionally to every call. Officials add that public safety continues to be their top priority as they serve Brockville and surrounding areas year-round.
