Brockville police say investigators believe the victims in last week’s triple homicide are Louwanda “Wanda” Elliott, 49, Mackayla Elliott, 17, and Nikita Elliott, 15.
Officials said identities have not yet been formally confirmed for criminal proceedings.
Police urged the public not to rely on social media reports as investigators continue gathering and verifying evidence in the early stages of the case.

A celebration of life is planned Friday for the three victims of Brockville’s triple homicide investigation, as police continue to ask the public for help.
The service will be held at Brockville Wesleyan Church at 2 p.m. Family members say the gathering will also be livestreamed through the church website for those unable to attend in person.
The family is asking people not to bring flowers. Instead, they say anyone who wants to help can make a donation to support family expenses connected to the coming baby.
In an interview with Ronald Zajac of the Recorder and Times, the family says they are remembering the three victims as “the kindest, gentlest, most loving, caring people that you would ever meet.” The full interview is available at recorder.ca.
The deaths have deeply shaken Brockville and surrounding communities.
Meanwhile, Brockville police are making another public appeal for video as the investigation continues.
Police say an updated area of interest has been identified in the North End. Investigators are asking residents, business owners and property managers to check any available cameras, including trail or wildlife cameras, doorbell cameras, home or business security systems and dash cameras.
Police are asking people to review footage from Wednesday, May 6 at 10 p.m. to Thursday, May 7 at 2 p.m.
Investigators are looking for possible footage of a person described as about six feet tall and 280 pounds, with a heavy-set build and brown hair. Police say the person may have been wearing dark clothing.
Police say even footage that seems minor, or video captured outside the identified area, could still help.
Anyone with video or information is asked to contact Detective Constable McCullough at 613-342-0127, ext. 2099. Anonymous tips can also be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
Police are asking people to provide footage directly to investigators and not share it on social media. Police have said the incident was not random.
