The City of Brockville says City Hall will remain closed for the rest of today after last night's severe storm left the building without power.
Officials estimate electricity could be restored by about 7 p.m., but the building will stay closed for the day. Most online City services also remain unavailable because of the outage.
The Brockville Tourism Visitor Information Centre is also closed, including its kayak and bike rental services.
Despite the disruptions, Brockville Transit is operating on its regular schedule and is offering free rides throughout the day. The Brockville Public Library has power and remains open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
City crews continue clearing debris and repairing damage across the community following the storm.
Residents looking to escape the heat are encouraged to visit the Brockville Railway Tunnel, the Brockville Public Library, Rotary Park Splash Pad or the city's waterfront parks.
The City says more updates will be shared as recovery efforts continue and thanked residents for their patience during the ongoing cleanup.
