The Brockville Police Service is asking parents to talk to their teens about safe and legal riding.
Brockville Police are warning the public after reports of youth riding dirt bikes on city roads, sidewalks, and public trails.
Officers say the illegal behaviour puts riders and others in danger.
On July 11, a youth was stopped near Parkedale Avenue and North Augusta Road for going 65 km/h in a 50 zone.
Police say the rider also had no licence, insurance, or plates. Several Highway Traffic Act charges were laid, and the youth now has a court date.
Police remind families that dirt bikes are meant for off-road trails or private property—not residential streets or parks.
