Families and educators across Eastern Ontario’s Upper Canada region are being invited to a virtual townhall on April 28 at 7 p.m. focused on the future of public education.
The session is titled “Public Education at a Crossroads: What Families Need to Know.”
Organizer Tanya Crosbie outlines the purpose of the townhall.
Organizers say the session will offer clear information, give participants a chance to ask questions and help identify next steps to support students and strengthen public education.
Guest speakers include Ontario NDP education critic Chandra Pasma, along with representatives from advocacy groups, education organizations and community voices.
Crosbie stressed the importance of a strong public education system.
The online event is open to all community members interested in learning more or taking part in the discussion.
Registration is available in advance at tinyurl.com/publicedtownhall.
