Brockville and Prescott are bracing for significant rainfall tonight through Friday morning, with total amounts reaching 20 to 30 mm. The combined rainfall and melting snow could overwhelm the frozen ground, making it harder for water to be absorbed. As a result, water is expected to pool on roads and in low-lying areas.
The rain will begin tonight, turning to flurries Friday morning as temperatures quickly drop below freezing. Residents are urged to stay alert for flooding risks and monitor local forecasts and Environment Canada warnings.
