A major winter storm is expected to bring heavy snow to Brockville and Prescott starting this afternoon and lasting through Monday morning, Environment Canada says. Snowfall totals of 15 to 30 centimetres are possible, with periods of heavy snow reducing visibility at times.
Northeasterly winds gusting between 40 and 50 kilometres per hour may cause local blowing snow, especially in exposed areas. Travel is expected to be challenging, with roads and walkways becoming difficult to navigate as snow accumulates.
