Now in its fourth year with UCDSB
A powerful mobile classroom is rolling back into the Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) this spring, aiming to inspire and educate.
The Tour for Humanity, a 30-seat mobile human rights education centre run by the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC), will visit four UCDSB secondary schools from May 26 to 29.
This advanced, wheelchair-accessible classroom brings workshops about the Holocaust, genocide, and Canada’s human rights history to students and staff.
Adding to the impact, Holocaust survivor Andy Rèti will speak at five schools between May 5 and 9. Rèti will share his personal story and answer student questions in one-hour sessions.
The initiative, now in its fourth year with UCDSB, supports the Ontario History Curriculum and is part of a strong partnership with FSWC.
