A 63-year-old construction worker was arrested in Brockville on June 27, after showing up to a worksite while appearing to be drunk.
At around 8:00 a.m., police received a report about the man, who had arrived at the site smelling of alcohol. Officers confirmed the man had driven to work that morning.
Police quickly located him and demanded a roadside breath test. The man failed the test and was taken to the Brockville Police Service for further testing.
That testing confirmed he had been operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol. As a result, his driver’s license was suspended on the spot.
He was charged with two offences: operation while impaired and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 milligrams.
The man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on a later date.
