Police say the man told officers he wanted to go to jail for food and shelter
A 33-year-old man was arrested late Thursday night after allegedly damaging a vehicle while throwing rocks at a Brockville gas station.
Just after 11 p.m., Brockville Police were called to the Petro Canada on Stewart Boulevard after reports of a man throwing rocks at the station's window.
Officers say the man tried to break the windows, but the rocks bounced off and hit a nearby vehicle, causing damage.
Police say the man told officers he wanted to go to jail for food and shelter.
He is already under several bail and probation orders, according to police.
He now faces two counts of mischief under $5,000, three counts of failing to comply with a release order, three counts of failing to comply with probation, and one count of failing to comply with recognizance.
He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
