The OPP continues to remind people that tampering with court ordered monitoring can lead to arrest
Earlier last week, police in eastern Ontario say a 31-year-old man from Edwardsburgh–Cardinal was located after removing his ankle monitor. The update came in a post by the Ontario Provincial Police East Region on March 28.
Officers said Grenville County OPP members quickly found the man with help from the OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad. Police said he was arrested, charged and held for a bail hearing.
The incident happened last week and police said the response was quick. OPP said the search ended shortly after the monitor was removed.
Police did not release the mans name or further details about the charges. The OPP continues to remind people that tampering with court ordered monitoring can lead to arrest.
