Both sides are looking to reach an agreement sooner rather than later as vulnerable clients continue to lose access to important services across the region
Local MPP Steve Clark is responding to the ongoing labour disruption caused by community health and social service workers in Leeds and Grenville.
Workers are seeking fair wages that keep pace with inflation while continuing to support clients and the community.
MPP Steve Clark stressed that it’s important people understand no funding to these agencies has been cut.
He also said this year’s budget provides about $407 million over the next three years to address operational needs for agencies that deliver ministry funded services, building on the $310 million in the 2024 budget.
Clark is also proud to have helped deliver recent funding for Lanark Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health.
He outlined what he hopes happens with the situation moving forward.
Both sides are looking to reach an agreement sooner rather than later as vulnerable clients continue to lose access to important services across the region.
