Council had voted to remove the lights after a light pole came down at the diamond. Wynands says now they have a plan to put a new system in place.
Ontario Approved Professionals, a group founded by life-long residents issued a public letter asking council to reverse that decision citing safety concerns, and community value.
Wynands says council recognized the diamond is so important to the community.
All those events will now be well-lit.
