Eligible branches will receive rebates automatically after license approval
Royal Canadian Legion branches across Leeds and Grenville are receiving new financial support through Ontario’s liquor licence fee rebate program.
The program, which began June 1, and applies retroactively to April 1, will provide full rebates for eligible liquor sales licence fees. The funding applies to all 14 Legion branches in the region.
MPP Steve Clark highlighted the announcement during a visit to Royal Canadian Legion Branch 105 in Cardinal on Wednesday. He said the support will help legions continue offering programs and services for veterans, families and communities.
The province says nearly 400 Legion branches across Ontario are eligible, with rebates expected to reduce costs by almost $250,000 over five years.
