Nearly 400 Legion branches across the province are eligible for the program, which is expected to reduce costs by almost $250,000 over five years
Royal Canadian Legion branches across Leeds and Grenville are receiving new financial support through Ontario’s liquor license fee rebate program.
With more, here’s local MPP Steve Clark.
The program, which began June 1 and applies retroactively to April 1, provides full rebates for eligible liquor sales license fees. The funding applies to all 14 Legion branches in Leeds and Grenville.
Clark said branches don’t even need to submit a rebate application.
Nearly 400 Legion branches across the province are eligible for the program, which is expected to reduce costs by almost $250,000 over five years.
The province says the rebates will help Legions continue supporting veterans, families and communities through programs, charitable initiatives, remembrance activities and other local services.
