The Ontario government is investing $2,558,216 to upgrade water and wastewater infrastructure in Merrickville-Wolford, officials announced Wednesday.
Steve Clark, MPP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes, said the municipality needed provincial support to move the project forward.
He said the funding is “well spent.”
Mayor Michael Cameron thanked the province for the funding, saying the grant will ease financial pressure on local water and wastewater users while supporting safe and reliable infrastructure in the rural community.
