The Brockville Aquatarium was overtaken by the Pirates of Halifax over Thanksgiving weekend, drawing crowds for a weekend of adventure and family fun along the sunny St. Lawrence River.
The venue was transformed into a pirate paradise, complete with live performances, sea shanties, and hands-on activities for kids. The five pirate captains — Jack Corkum, Angus Black Toe, Casey deVauX, William Kelly, and Christopher deLong — performed half-hour shows throughout the day and even took their music to The Keystorm Pub on Friday night.

The Aquatarium moved the pirate event to the fall to attract off-season visitors. The pirates have sailed off, but the mermaids return in March.
