Ford thanked Wylie for his dedication and community leadership, offering appreciation in person during the visit
During a visit to Brockville, Ontario Premier Doug Ford took time to recognize longtime local broadcaster Bruce A. Wylie as he prepares to retire next month after more than five decades on the air.
Known to many as the “Voice of Brockville,” Wylie has hosted a morning radio show for 55 years, keeping listeners informed and entertained while building a strong connection with the community.
Beyond broadcasting, Wylie has played a major role in supporting local causes. Over the years he has helped raise millions of dollars for charities and community initiatives, organized special events and helped promote local talent and achievements.
He has also been a driving force behind the creation and growth of the Brockville Sports Hall of Fame and the Brockville Arts Hall of Fame, helping recognize the region’s athletes and artists.
Ford thanked Wylie for his dedication and community leadership, offering appreciation in person during the visit.
Residents say Wylie’s voice and contributions have helped shape Brockville for generations.
