Julie Dukelow McCarthy has been recognized
Julie Dukelow McCarthy has been named one of just 20 people across Canada recognized by the Canadian Institute for Public Safety Research and Treatment (CIPSRT) for her outstanding work.
A retired paramedic with over 20 years of service, McCarthy is now a major community volunteer. Her continued dedication to helping others is being celebrated during National Paramedics Week.
The Township of Edwardsburgh/Cardinal, along with CUPE 4440, praised McCarthy and all paramedics across Leeds and Grenville for their hard work, professionalism, and compassion.
Paramedics often work under great pressure, saving lives and providing comfort in difficult times. Their service is essential and deeply appreciated.
On behalf of Council, staff, and residents, the Township thanked paramedics for their ongoing commitment and care.
McCarthy’s national recognition is a proud moment for the local community and a reminder of the vital role paramedics play every day.
