Organizers thanked supporters for their continued backing and said they look forward to welcoming visitors to the 171st Spencerville Fair from Sept. 10 to 13 at the Fairgrounds
The Spencerville Fair is warning vendors about a scam involving fraudulent messages requesting payment for vendor spaces at the 171st Spencerville Fair. Organizers said they recently became aware of messages falsely claiming to represent the fair and asking vendors to send money.
The fair said all official vendor inquiries and bookings are handled only through Executive Committee member Carla Saunders. Anyone receiving a message requesting payment is urged not to send money until its authenticity has been confirmed.
Instead, organizers ask vendors to contact the fair directly at info@spencervillefair.ca so staff can verify whether the communication is legitimate. The fair is also encouraging community members to share the warning to help protect current and prospective vendors from falling victim to the scam.
Organizers thanked supporters for their continued backing and said they look forward to welcoming visitors to the 171st Spencerville Fair from Sept. 10 to 13 at the Fairgrounds.
