Grenville trails include 110 kilometres of trail, 268 permits, 70 landowners, and 30 core volunteers
Snowmobiling season is just around the corner, and the Grenville Snowmobiling Association is urging riders to stay safe while enjoying the trails.
Matt Brown, president of the association, says riders should always pay attention to signs and follow them.
He also noted that the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs has maps of all trails across the province, which help riders prepare and avoid dangerous areas.
Brown is encouraging riders to be cautious and sensible this winter.
He emphasized the buddy system and the importance of letting someone know your route and schedule.
He also reminded riders to follow safety rules when the club grooms trails.
Some trails are being reopened this season, which has slowed the opening process, but Brown expects trails to be ready by January 1.
Grenville trails include 110 kilometres of trail, 268 permits, 70 landowners, and 30 core volunteers.
With trails reopening, the association urges riders to plan ahead and enjoy snowmobiling safely this winter.
