The launch marks the retailer’s latest move to grow its presence across Ontario and Canada
A new Value Village store is set to open in Brockville today, expanding secondhand shopping options in Eastern Ontario.
The global thrift retailer’s first local location will offer thousands of pre-loved items, including clothing, books and housewares. The 29,000-square-foot store is located on Parkedale Avenue in the redeveloped 1000 Islands Plaza.
Company officials say the store aims to promote affordable and sustainable shopping while supporting community partnerships. Donations collected at the site will benefit Diabetes Canada, which receives payment for goods to fund research and programs.
The opening is also expected to create local jobs and attract shoppers from nearby communities.
Store manager Gerry Mullin said the company hopes to make secondhand shopping a regular habit for residents.
The site will be open daily, with extended evening hours through most of the week.
The launch marks the retailer’s latest move to grow its presence across Ontario and Canada.
