A group of young entrepreneurs from the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville have graduated from the 2025 Summer Company program, capping off a season of business training, mentorship, and community engagement.
The provincially funded program, which marked its 25th anniversary this year, gives students the chance to launch and operate their own businesses over the summer. Participants also receive up to $3,000 upon completion.
This year’s graduates included Owen Henderson of Rim to Rim Detailing in Brockville, James Richardson of James Richardson Lawn Maintenance in North Grenville, and Lincoln BevAcqua of Astronomical Clothing Co. in North Grenville.
Local dignitaries praised the students for their determination. MPP Steve Clark said he was proud of their accomplishments, while Warden Corinna Smith-Gatcke congratulated them for “charting their own path to success.”
Ann Weir, Economic Development Manager, noted the program builds confidence, fosters innovation, and connects youth with a supportive business community.
