Police said they are proud of VandenAnker’s achievement and encouraged her to continue pursuing her goals
A Brockville Police dispatcher is being recognized after delivering an impressive performance at a recent powerlifting competition supporting Brockville and Area Special Olympics Powerlifting.
Emma VandenAnker competed in three events — squat, bench press and deadlift — and achieved a personal record in the deadlift. The accomplishment highlighted months of training, dedication and hard work.
Brockville Police congratulated VandenAnker for her efforts, noting her determination both in competition and in her role serving the community.
Powerlifting competitions test athletes across three disciplines, with competitors aiming to lift the maximum weight possible in each event. Achieving a personal record is considered a significant milestone and reflects progress in strength and technique.
The event also helped support Brockville and Area Special Olympics Powerlifting, an organization that provides training and competitive opportunities for local athletes.
Police said they are proud of VandenAnker’s achievement and encouraged her to continue pursuing her goals.
