Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until available funding is exhausted
North Grenville is offering financial incentives to help local businesses attract more visitors, improve accessibility and preserve the community’s historic charm.
The eastern Ontario municipality has opened applications for its Tourism Community Improvement Plan (CIP), which includes 11 funding programs supporting tourism-related projects.
Grants and incentives are available for initiatives ranging from agritourism and tourism accommodation to heritage restoration, event infrastructure and active tourism. Other programs offer sustainability funding, accessibility improvements, design and feasibility grants, and rebates on application and building permit fees.
Mayor Nancy Peckford said the program aims to help businesses and entrepreneurs invest in new opportunities while encouraging visitors to discover the area’s natural landscapes, agricultural heritage, downtown, historic hamlets, trails and cultural attractions.
Chief administrative officer Karen Dunlop said the initiative supports sustainable growth, accessibility and a stronger local economy.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until available funding is exhausted.
Businesses can review eligibility requirements and program guidelines through the municipality’s Tourism Community Improvement Plan.
