Lanark Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health staff will return to work Monday, Aug. 24 after an agreement ended the long OPSEU Local 441 strike.
LLGAMH says the first week back will focus on reconnecting staff and preparing to restart client services in phases beginning the week of Aug. 31.
Community members and service providers can continue sending referrals, but programs will take time to return to full capacity.
“The last several months have been incredibly difficult for our organization, clients, and the broader community,” CEO Kim Gifford said.
Gifford thanked clients, partners and the community for their patience and said the organization is focused on a thoughtful restart.
During the transition, support will continue at group and treatment homes, including the HART Hub. Housing support, some psychiatry and psychotherapy services, Brief Services and modified Therapeutic Justice programming will remain available.
Brief Services can be reached at 613-341-2476. No referral or appointment is required. Crisis support is available through 9-8-8 or 9-1-1.
